First and foremost, if you are hoping to spend more than one day, you’ll need to book your ACCOMMODATIONS.
ACTIVITIES
Horseshoe Resort – Skiing, Snowboarding, Tubing, Snowshoeing, Live Music, Food & Fun. Horseshoe truly has it all, and even accommodates family members who want to relax INSIDE, with offerings at their on-site spa. (Book HERE)
Mount St. Louis Moonstone – Ski, Snowboard, take a lesson and enjoy the great outdoors on the tallest vertical runs in Oro-Medonte. Family-owned and known for its stellar snowmaking capabilities, Mount St. Louis Moonstone is truly a local gem.
Family Day Free Skate – Join the Oro District Lion’s Club at Guthrie Arena (Hwy 11 S at Line 4) on February 19th from 10:30am to 12pm. Free skating for kids of all ages with hot chocolate, cookies and coffee.
Hardwood Ski & Bike – Nordic Ski, Snowshoe, Hike or Fat Bike along some beautifully groomed trails. Trail passes are required and rentals are available. Looking for a unique experience? Book a 90 minute Snow Cat Groomer Tour, Saturday or Sunday at 3pm. Tour includes a stop at Lookout cabin and some top notch Instagram-worthy views.
Snowmobiling with SMART Adventures is a fun way to spend some time. Learn how to safely ride a snowmobile with all of the proper gear. Check online for age restrictions and details.
Davidson Estate Alpacas – An Alpaca Walk in the snow is sure to bring smiles and lasting memories. Make sure your phone is charged so that you don’t miss out on some amazing family photos!
Quayles Brewery – OPEN 11am-5pm ON FAMILY DAY for outdoor skating, horse-drawn wagon rides and lunch (Winter Menu). Bring the family for food and fun, and end the long weekend with smiles.
Horseshoe Golf Zone – If your dreaming of summer days on the golf course, you can enjoy a few rounds at Horseshoe Golf’ Zones top-of-the-line golf simulator, bar and lounge.
Braestone Club – Hike, Nordic Ski or Snowshoe (bring your own equipment), Saturdays and Sundays between 11am-3pm. Purchase a hot cider after your recreation and warm up, fireside, or head inside to The Ktchn for a brunch you won’t forget!
Sweetwater Park Family Day
The Annual Sweetwater Park Family Day celebrations are Monday, February 19th from 11am-3pm. Outdoor skating (weather pending), wagon rides, food truck, winter games, camp fire and more. Watch the cardboard toboggan competition race and see all the creative entries.
To participate in Toboggan Races: $10 donation per sled with prizes for both best design AND longest run.
