Parking:  Limited parking spots at each 2-4 are free

NOTE: Winds on Lake Couchiching can pick up quickly. Please check the forecast paddle within your ability. This route can also experience heavy boat traffic to avoid this stay to the shoreline. Use caution and respect and obey the rules of the waterway.

Looking to paddle the Lake Couchiching Water Trail? This is an extension of the Trans Canada Trail and includes a 17 km connection to the land trail. This route will take you along the shores of Lake Couchiching. Travel along the eastern shoreline and enjoy the crystal-clear waters of this beautiful lake. This is also your connection to the Trent Severn Waterway where in the south you come in from Lake Simcoe and in the North the Severn River. There are a few launch point options depending on how long of a route you are looking for. Along this route, you will pass Fern Resort as well as many summer camp facilities, please respect these private properties. This route can be done in a loop but it is recommended to complete it in a linear line along the shore.
