About the Tour:
The Uhthoff trail lies within the Township of Severn, located 90 minutes north of Toronto and can be easily accessed by Hwys 11,400 and 12. The Township is know for its varied landscapes of pastoral fields, Canadian Shield rock formations and waterways.
Use this self-guided tour to uncover the secrets of the Uhthoff Trail. If you are starting from Orillia, your first stop will be at Couchiching Beach Park. From there, you will take the Millennium Trail to the Uhthoff Trail. If starting in Coldwater, you will already be on the Uhthoff Trail.
This 22-kilometre trail between Orillia and Coldwater was originally part of the Canadian Pacific Railway and is now a section of the Great Canadian Trail.
An easy ride along crushed limestone, you will learn about its history and ecology while experiencing beautiful, pastoral vistas, river crossings and more.
Take your time to enjoy the Township of Severn and the City of Orillia.
